running 8:23 [3] 1.0 mi (8:23 / mi)

Ran at the UMD track - full mile, no 1600 BS. This being the 65th anniversary of Bannister's sub-4, was a day for a mile time-trial. Bannister's sub-4 was the catalyst for my running. 8:23 and it was not comfortable. First three laps were fairly even, but the last lap I sucked: 2:13. But that is all there was. 100 miles of running in the past 6 months and 6 days, with 10 in the past week.

running 19:59 [3] 2.0 mi (9:59 / mi)

Hartley, same loop as yesterday. Another beautiful day for running. 49 seconds faster than yesterday, but felt easier.

running 20:48 [3] 2.0 mi (10:24 / mi)

At Hartley. Ran the wide paths and through the parking lot. About a two-mile loop from Hartley Rd dead-ends. Knee sore, but made it thru ok.

running 25:00 [3] 2.5 mi (10:00 / mi)

Ran in the neighborhood. Took about 1/2 mile to feel somewhat smooth and about a mile before I could breath normal. All run, no walk. Wow, this is the worse shape I have ever experienced. It is all forward progress from here.

running 18:13 [3] 2.0 mi (9:06 / mi)

Two miles non-stop on the Lakewalk @ 18:13 - 9:16/8:57. Very pleased. That was all that I had tonight, but feels good running two miles with no walking. Never thought I would be excited about knocking on the door of a sub-18 two-mile, but it is what it is.

Walking 10:00 [3] 0.5 mi (20:00 / mi)

Cool down after run.

Walking 1:05:00 [3]

Mostly in Chester Park. Trails are in great shape for hiking and running. Of course I can only hike on those trails.
