SIte survey along a long undulating ridge --- fairly straightforward -- Mostly pine forestry and gorse. Most of the afternoon was just bashing around bits and pieces...Found an impressive diplurid spider.

Climbed at a slow and steady pace...above treeline was good going with the snow. Caught up with Aaron near the top -- hung out for a while -- the views were awesome today. About 20-50 cm of fresh (windblown) snow on a hard pack base so there were a few avalanches in the area...we even managed to set one off. hm. |
