| A serious bush bashing mission with Russell and Lara on the West Coast. We didn't make things easier by taking a few off-route bashes through thick subalpine scrub on the way up near Waharoa saddle and that we came down a highly unrecommended route into a steep horrid gorge from Pfeifer Biv. Luckily Lara is light... luckily she couldn't see the bottom.
Not a route I'd do again in a hurry, but great fun. Out all day (12hrs) -- time tramping/ bashing/crawling/downclimbing is appox. |
