Orienteering race (Metro League) 30:10 [5] *** 5.53 km (5:27 / km) +81m 5:05 / km

Easy course with controls just off the tracks. Pretty much just track running with a few road sections. Lost a over a minute at no.12 in the circle, not sure that the mapping was too great as a lot of others had the same problem. A few other controls were like that as well. Finished 3rd, a minute off Glenn Horrocks and Patrik Gunnarsson which was the difference at no.12. Team lost by a point to Bigfoot, which was probably going to decide who gets into the final.

Felt pretty good. Pretty easy course. A few 5 sec losses not taking control descriptions.

Epic course. Started ok and got caught by Robbie at no.5 and ran together with him for 3km leg to no.6. We overran the control losing 5 minutes. Lost a few more minutes at no.11, then ok passing a few people to no.22 but couldn't find no.26 spending 6-7 minutes running around the dark green and then another few minutes on no.27 only a few minutes from the finish. Very frustrating to finish like that after 2hr15 of running.

Technical course with a lot of slowing down and too many hesitations. Not fit enough at the moment. Caught Jim Russell about halfway around and didn't gap him too much by the finish. Finished well off the pace.

Lost 30 secs on no.2 and then 5 minutes on no.10 where I was caught by Ezy, then lost another 2 minutes on no.11 and no.13. From there followed Oliver Mitchell around to finish. I don't remember the last time I had a good middle distance race. Need more practice!

Pretty easy course at UWS Kingswood. Had been feeling sick when I got up this morning and struggled to get going. Felt better as run went on. Lost about 30 secs on no.10 when I misinterpreted the control description thinking it was on the top of the stone wall. Other than that was clean, had Undy on my tail for most part which kept me on my game. Still finished 90 secs behind Horrocks though.
