Run race (Tamborine Mtn Marathon) 3:28:47 [5] 42.55 km (4:54 / km) +882m 4:27 / km
shoes: Asics Kayano 24

Used this a training run with no taper but also didn't want to wreck myself so I could continue training the following week. Also aimed to pace the 6 x 7km course so each lap would be the same. After going the wrong way 100m into the course (not helped my the marshall who waved us through), sat in 2nd while one guy took off but I was happy to stick to my plan. Course was a mix of undulating trails, grass, paths and road. Ended up running the whole course on my own not realising I was catching time on the leader who was struggling in the back half to finish only 1.5 minutes behind.

Lap times were (35.37, 34.00, 34.23, 34.08, 35.09, 35.02).

Shocker of a run. Lost 5 min on a couple of controls struggling to read the map. Didn't plan course well at all so tried to take on too much. Then tired in the back half for a low score of 460.
