Orienteering (Metro League) 29:14 [5] *** 3.6 km (8:07 / km)
ahr:169 max:186 spiked:9/12c shoes: Brooks Cascadia 2008

Metro League on Mitchell Park. Quite hot conditions and overran the first on 1:7,500 map. I lost a minute on no.3 too high and hesitant and a few minor hesitations through the rest of the course. Running felt good but orienteering needed to flow more. Did 29.14 ahead of Boris 31.30.

Event: City Chase

Adventure Race (City Chase - Sydney) 3:05:00 [5]
shoes: Asics Kayano 15

City Chase with Ben. Started at King St Wharf and first caught the train to Milsons Point for a questionaire CP at Kirribilli Hotel and a swim CP at Luna Park Pool, we then got the train again to St.Leonards and played simulation golf and art school then caught a train back to Wynyard. There was a little time lost trying to find the CP's at St.Leonards. We then did a CP at Rebel nearby (more time lost as it had relocated) and then ran to Woolloomoolloo Hotel for a charity CP. Others were telling us that the next CP at Woolloomoolloo which contained 3 CPs that the queues were too long so we decided to skip them. We then ran to Circular Quay for a Blackberry CP and then to Four Seasons for a spray tan CP, then another long run to Pyrmont to eat a Chicken foot and yet another long run to Glebe to find some numbers in a box full of spiders, worms etc. I was really struggling to keep with Ben for the last half hour. Finished 4th - 10 minutes behind winners. Route plan was not the best and should have got the 3 CPs at Woolloomoolloo earlier.
