Orienteering race (Sydney Sprint Series) 19:33 [5] *** 3.96 km (4:56 / km) +27m 4:46 / km
spiked:15/20c shoes: Brooks Cascadia 2010

Good fun course at St.Ives Showground. No big time losses but quite a few small ones with the most being 10 secs. Rolled ankle to no.2 ripping through the tape which cushioned the blow (5-7 secs), offline to no.4 running up towards no.16 (10 secs), too low on no.9 (10 secs), offline to no.15 (10 secs) and was stuffing around in the bush at no.17 (10 secs). Forgot my compass which would have accounted for some of these time losses. Looking at the splits all the leaders were up and down. Managed to finish 30 secs ahead of Patrik in 2nd.

Orienteering race (Sydney Summer Series) 42:09 [5] *** 8.42 km (5:00 / km) +85m 4:46 / km
spiked:26/30c shoes: Brooks Trance 10

Vineyard Creek. 5th race in 10 days so legs feeling a little tired. Started out west for a couple of controls in the streets then into the bush sections. Stuffed no.30, just couldn't see it at the foot at th cliff. Prob lost a minute. Then a couple of controls later missed the turnoff to no.22 so had to skip it and come back to it later. Ran around the southern loop with no probs then had to collect no.1 and 22 which I missed so wasn't too convenient. Did an out and back to no.4 which wasn't the best route choice. Got all controls in 42.09, Burton-41.53, Horrocks-43.00. Noone else got them all.

Orienteering race (Sydney Sprint Series) 15:37 [5] *** 3.48 km (4:29 / km) +27m 4:19 / km
spiked:14/17c shoes: Brooks Trance 10

Sprint at Macquarie Hospital. Legs feeling really tired from race yesterday so expected to be a bit behind today which wasn't the case. Good little course which required a bit of thought for route choice. Lost bits of time within the circle at no.5 and 6. No other real losses. Possibly should have taken the route choice to the right of building at no.4 instead going left. Brooner got me by 2 seconds.
