Orienteering race (Ultrasprint A) 6:36 [5] *** 1.18 km (5:36 / km) +3m 5:31 / km
spiked:22/24c shoes: Innov-8 X-Talon 212

This was so much harder than I was anticipating. Much harder than the previous 2 ultrasprints I had done. First course sent us straight into so many trees which was very difficult. Running went pretty good overall but MP two controls (#4 and #24) for a 2 min penalty.

Orienteering race (Ultrasprint B) 6:26 [5] *** 1.14 km (5:39 / km) +1m 5:37 / km
spiked:24/25c shoes: Innov-8 X-Talon 212

Another good run except I punched the wrong #7 and realised pretty quickly and punched the correct one (30 sec penalty).

Orienteering race (Ultrasprint C) 7:12 [5] *** 1.36 km (5:18 / km) +3m 5:14 / km
spiked:22/25c shoes: Innov-8 X-Talon 212

Worst of the 3 runs, although I didn't take any penalties. So in a way, the best of the 3. For some reason started hesitating on a few controls on this course and was well wide on route choice to #11.

Overall finished 2nd to Toby Wilson, 1.01 down.

Orienteering race (QBIII Day #3) 16:42 [5] *** 3.15 km (5:18 / km) +33m 5:02 / km
spiked:13/18c shoes: Innov-8 X-Talon 212

Coffs Harbour

Good run in parts but again let down with too many errors. So disappointed how many mistakes I've made this weekend, a total of 19 controls missed! Oh well should only get better.

Lost time on:
#2 - route choice could have been better (15 secs)
#9 - missed the best route & ended up wide on the route I chose (30 secs)
#12 - went over hill, going right was better (20 secs)
#15 - got confused in the detail, could have attacked in better (20 secs)
#17 - didn't read ahead here and got caught out, wasn't ideal (15 secs)
#18 - terrible route choice winding through the stairs (15 secs)

Orienteering race (QBIII Day #2) 1:29:12 [5] *** 15.37 km (5:48 / km) +165m 5:30 / km
spiked:15/19c shoes: Innov-8 X-Talon 212

Oppy's Gully - Bom Bom State Forest

Was feeling slow today and even still made quite a few errors. Got caught 12 min by Bert en-route to #14 and from there my pace picked up, even winning a few splits at the back end. Again finished well down

Lost time on:
#5 - overran the depression (2 min)
#8 - drifting off my route way too far right (2 min)
#9 - ended up too far left then going further left when I wasn't sure (2 min)
#10 - bad route choice taking track (2 min)
