Plan was to run from Tung Chung up Lantau Peak, about 900m climb. Missed the main path and ended up on a tiny overgrown track. Then it started pissing down and the track turned into a stream and got really slippery. Hit the main path which was concrete sealed and decided to bail on the final 1km 500m climb stint up to the peak due to the solid rain making it so slow and didnt want Amy and the kids waiting around at the Big Buddha in the torrential rain. Also originally planned to run back down but aborted that idea too as it would have been so slippery on those sealed trails.

Tried to get up to the mountain trails but the route I took turned into a motorway overpass and couldnt get off so turned around and ran around Disneyland perimeter. Found some minor trails/stairs on the way.
