Today at the summer camp, the counselors participated in a 4x100 relay with the kids... my split was 19s... not too shabby for a distance runner/triathlete who just finished a half-iron a few days ago :D

Triathlon race (Ironman 70.3) 6:19:04 [5] 116.43 km (3:15 / km) +830m 3:09 / km
shoes: Bontrager Clips & Hitogami

Ironman 70.3 Muskoka!!! Oufff....that was killer. The swim wasn't that great, the bike was a PB split, and the run was just terrible... the weather started warming up for the run, there was a hill near the beginning of the course (and lots of hills on the course, and legs were just dead after the bike... went pretty hard on the bike ~30km/hr the WHOLE 90K so my run was super slow, I felt faint, and had to walk A LOT.... was only going 6:32/km....ugh!! SO. FREAKIN'. SLOW! After the bike, I was set to run ~5:45-5:50 but that didn't happen... Oh well I got to see what a real IRONMAN 70.3 World qualifier race was like, and I gotta say - super fancy and very competitive with lots and lots of super expensive bikes/gear! Still managed to place 4th in age group though! :) Now time to sleep!

Oh and the bike was only supposed to be 90k but they just had to make it a 94k loop!! UGH! That's not what the course is dudes!! It's a 1.9k swim - 90K BIKE - 21.1k run! Got it!!!
