Run race (ParkRun) 19:47 [5] 5.0 km (3:57 / km)
shoes: New Balance

We went on the Broo course as there is work being done on the zoo curse at the bridge for the next few months. 275ish starters made the opening couple of hundred metres a bit dangerous and I didn't get close enough to the front to get a clear run. Really battled to find any stride and that showed with a pretty average time. Guess carrying a few more kgs than i'd like to be isn't helping either. Right hammy felt tight and I pulled up a bit sore so will rest it as much as possible before trip to Vic this coming w/e.

Conditioning (Usual) 10:00 [3]

6 AM

Jog (Commute) 30:00 [3] 6.0 km (5:00 / km)
shoes: New Balance

Started with spray jacket on but quickly shed it. Paths were wet and and slippery with autumn leaves but it was a slow and pleasant stroll after not running yesterday. I should think about doing Belair on a Thursday.

Conditioning (usual) 5 [3]

I really should do more than 5 mins of this. My pants are telling me that.
6 AM

Walk (Commute) 45:00 [3] 5.0 km (9:00 / km)
shoes: New Balance

Another really pleasant morning. I really think we need some rain soon tho'!
And my wish was granted - so ditched arvo run/walk and got a lift instead.

Cycling (Commute) 30:00 [3]

Been pushing harder on the bike lately, especially while the weather is nice its easier to enjoy. Cycled past another couple of houses including one that sold on 7th Avenue.

Walk (Commute) 45:00 [3] 5.0 km (9:00 / km)
shoes: New Balance

Really pleasant morning. Hopefully not cursing the mild (so far) autumn. Legs tired and not sleeping particularly well.
5 PM

Run (Commute) 52:57 [4] 10.7 km (4:57 / km)
shoes: New Balance

Took a detour after a slow start w/ Don and went past some houses for sale in Joslin. Might be worth a second look when they are open! Picked up the pace and stopped at another house on 10th Avenue where I chatted with the owner..!!
Legs felt better towards the end of the run - just need to get some longer runs happening.

Cycling (Commute) 30:00 [4]

Went harder than normal for some reason. It was a nice evening. Work was interesting - trying to launch a modest 500m 10yr deal and down goes the systems. Makes it damn hard to price the trade when you don't have any of the necessary tools. Funnily enough problem was temporarily resolved when the threat to escalate it all the way directly to the top was made. The real fun will however be on the 20th when we have to settle 6b worth of transactions...... somehow I think we might just head straight to the d.r. site and avoid anything to do with the statenet servers. I guess whats the worst that can happen apart from not raising money or settling transactions and causing the state into a tachnical default...

Conditioning race (Pewsey Vale) 1:01:25 [4] *** 7.5 km (8:11 / km) +275m 6:55 / km
spiked:15/19c shoes: Mudclaw

Covered 10.6kms on a 7.5km course as tried to be too conservative in an area where I have really struggled to navigate with any level of success. Managed to finish without too many major hassles but was just sloooow.
Missed 1 as skewed off direction but ended up trying the safe approach from the low side which was fine. 3 I was in the right spot but didn't back myself in the circle when I was literally right on top of control and didn't see it. 4 was slow but hit it, and then 5. Wrong set of rocks/small cliffs. Long leg to 9 I didn't really plan as well as I thought and lost map contact. Relocated and released that bike/animal tracks not main tracks. Rest of course was straight forward out in the open stuff but didn't really push myself and just cruised around and worked on navigation etc. Overall I was pleased to have finished but should have been 20mins faster.
