| Back to the dreaded Lunsen for a Tiomila training. Was only intending to do about 30 min today to take it easy on the knee. Started off ok, but then missed 6min on a short 3rd leg, another stupid direction mistake! I'm seriously thinking about changing my compass over here! Might try using a baseplate or thumb, my one just seems really dodgy. But then again maybe its just Lunsen! It pretty unique terrain. But got through the later part of the course fine, but then my knee got a bit sore, so not a real good training! Traveled home to Falun after an above average swedish pizza at the Norby shops! |

| Middle race with Malung boys on the map next to the Tiomila Terrain. Tried to run hard and with no snow in the forest it was much nicer! Even a balmy 5 degrees. Much improved run after yesterday, felt shithouse up the hills but got into a much better rythym, but then missed 90 sec on one towards the end through the green. Probably gunna be the toughest thing in Tiomila, little knolls and detail in greener areas, but otherwise nothing special, i really like the terrain!
Was 2.5min down on David who looks to be in good form and 1 min down on Thomas C. |

| Traveled down to Uppsala early before a Malungs Tiomila Training camp with David, Lena and Thomas to do a day training on Lunsen. Thanks to BorisG, we were able to join in on the Varsity Match he had organized for a full SI training!
I've run on this map a few times before but not with 10cm of snow on it! I could hardly get over the fact that the lake next to the finish was actually frozen over and you could walk on it! But started out going ok but then on the way to the 5th control made the aussie spur gully mistake of falling asleep on a long leg and lost my direction and seriously i just got lost. I swear trying to relocate on this map is impossible without tracks! Ended up picking the course back up at 7, then kept going until just after the map exchange and I thought 50min was enough on the knee. but overall the knee felt good and it was a good wake up call for my o-technique in Sweden!
Warmed up with dagens lunch at Eko cafe in Uppsala, just as good and as popular as last year! |

| First gym session in Falun's idrottshallen with Thomas Carlsson showing me the ropes. Cool gym, with the basic equipment on the side of the 200m track. Good training center for winter! As it was still about -2 today, its still much appreciated by me. Knee felt good. Off on a Tiomila training camp tomorrow ! |
