Running (Easy Run) 37:01 [3] 7.05 km (5:15 / km) +30m 5:08 / km

Legs are really sore after the race yesterday. Intended to run down to the track and do plyometrics with Fel but we were too late. So just kept running around the burbs. Concrete jungle didn't help sooth the legs. But actually nice running on a clear warmish evening.

Orienteering (Venice Street Race) 1:20:49 [4] 18.45 km (4:23 / km) +16m 4:22 / km

Awesome race, which just kept on going. Thousands of tourists to dodge and great fun. Started off solidly until getting stuck in a dead end going to 5, but still held off Murray Strain who was 1 minute behind me until 15. Then held on until the long leg to 19. Then I died, long break caught up with me and I was buggered. Got a stitch (probably from the previous nights antics) and walked sections of the next legs to the finish. My Legs were smashed after and calf was quite tight towards the end. But mainly the quads hurting the most. Much longer race than I thought it would be, but awesome fun and loved all of it. Great to be back running again.

Orienteering (Leg for Leg) 56:24 [3] 11.07 km (5:06 / km) +16m 5:03 / km

Awesome run around Venice with Gareth and BJ. Leg for leg dodging tourists. Amazing orienteering. My calf felt good and handled the harder surface OK.

Running (Easy run) 29:15 [3] 6.37 km (4:36 / km) +79m 4:20 / km

Good to do a continuous run again. Leg felt better after the run yesterday and after some good stretching and compression. Still swollen, but it isn't getting worse and if anything it feels better, so will try to build it up.
First real run on a lit track around Grimsta. Not sure to go with the headlamp or do as the swedes do and just use the lights and run blind in the dark spots. Did a combination of both today.

Running (Easy Jog) 21:32 [2] 4.15 km (5:11 / km) +15m 5:06 / km

Saw a doc last night. She said that it was not infected and she thinks it is swollen because it is healing. She also said running would be OK.
So started a gradual program today. 2 min on 1min walk for first 10min, then jogging in the last 10min. Felt OK, pretty tight on hard surfaces but tried to stay on grass.
In typical Swedish style I don't have a phone appointment with the surgeon until the 16 November and a face to face one until 22 December. Have to go elsewhere for advice so organised to see a nerve specialist this Friday about the numb ankle.

Note
(injured)

Not sure what is going on. Got the stitches out yesterday and thought I'd be ready to go for some easy running but over the last three days a large swelling has developed around the wound. WTF.
