Ski Orienteering race 1:09:19 [3] 3.4 km (20:24 / km) +73m 18:25 / km

Took the middle distance course as I knew XC ski will be hard work. I have been skiing since I was 6 years old but never done XC ski before. We arrived a bit late to the Nordic shelter (Next time should stay at Jyndabyne and not Cooma) as traffic was pretty bad and also were not allowed to park in the upper part of Perisher. Anyhow, once arrived I went out to do some training with the gear doing the short loop.

Start to CP1:

Long lag with some difficulties to climb and crossing between the parallel tracks, at some stage I was just sinking and falling and again and again.... for 15 minutes, managed to get to CP1 with pretty long time of 40 min

CP1 to CP2:

Easy brissi as It was relatively close and I started to understand how to walk with the XC ski

CP2 to CP3:

Nice downhill ski to grab CP3, this where ski experience was an advantage

CP3 to CP4:

Back and down to the shelter area to pick CP4, when I arrived there Yael called for 3 times, so I answered (big mistake...) Alon was driving everyone crazy and Ella was crying. So that pretty much was the end of my course. As I was already around the shelter, so promised to come and take control!

Really enjoyed the experience, if I do it again next year, I will make sure to come  1-2 days before so I can get more training with the XC ski that would make a big difference. No any navigation issues...just took a while to figure out how to do the steps properly.

Really awesome experience!
