Pretty much perfect fell conditions given the time of year. Really wet and boggy underfoot between Skiddaw, Calva and Blencathra. Managed to get up by 2' on schedule by that leg, which grew to 11' by Dunmail after Leg 2.

Calf cramp became really problematic from Fairfield onwards. Really painful at times, especially coming down into Honister.

Kept getting stitches, which I took to mean that I was eating plenty (?!) that could be quite debilitating at times.

Leg 3 was good. The rocks by Esk Pike were pretty greasy, which cost a minute or so, but everywhere else along that line from Bowfell till Scafell were bone dry and really grippy. Broad Stand was pretty sketchy.

Climbed really strongly on Yewbarrow (29') and again at Great Gable, which set up a decent Leg 5. Running scared on the descent from Robinson as I miscalculated how far the road section was. Legs felt relatively good from Little Town onwards and into the finish.
