Harder effort than the other day but much less climb. Out with MMB for a lap round Thirlmere - Ambleside - Kirkstone - Ullawater - Dockray.

Nice weather. Glute a bit stretchy but never an issue.

75' Easy

Full lap of the lake with Ben. Glute fine for 20' or so then the tightness came on. Off and on for the remainder of the run, worse on the slight uphills that came about. Relaxed off in the final km's back into town.

Pushed the pace to moderate effort for a hundred metres or so to test things out and had no adverse effects, which is more promising than the other week.

Frustrating.

Intention was to go round the lake but got halfway down the one side and turned back because of the glute.

Wasn't excessively painful, more just the tightness was much more regular in the run than other times, so felt like it was only going to get worse.

Round the lake via the terraces. Hip was 80% fine the whole way with a couple of tweaks and sore points now and then. On the whole more encouraging than the other day.

Seemed tweakiest on the uphills, though in the final km's there were moments on the flat where it tightened a bit. Better though.

Tough day in the saddle. Took the gravel bike, which made things a bit slower. Vicious headwind on the way back from Grasmere.

Nope. Hip tight / sore after just 15'. Settled and was 'ok' in the final 25' or so. Stopped a number of times to stretch it / batter it with a rock.

Fucking pissed off.
