| Run from our place up the valley towards the peak district, looped through ringinglow then back down the valley home. With BJ and Dave - very hungover and bad stomach, came out 80p up from the casino last night, not too bad since we were £30 down after 5 minutes. Found a blackjack table where the dealer didn't know what she was doing and quickly recouped the losses. |

 | Running (softcock loop) 30:00 [1] 5 km (6:00 / km) | |

| Easy jog up the Endciffe valley and back. I got the regular 'god is punishing me for being slack and not running enough' allergic reaction which I always get the first run back training. Oh well further motivation not to stop again I guess. |

| After a week running around tough Gothenburg terrain I was amazed that my knee was no worse than it had been at the start. On that unexpected positive note I have decided to start back training and logging on attackpoint. The other motivating factors were setting two personal worsts, weighing in at more than 10% above my 'racing' weight and running the slowest 3000m time trial of my life (yes Andy even slower than the ones you watched me run at the AIS).
In general I have the most problems with my knee in rougher terrain, particularly when I can't see where my foot is landing so initially the plan is going to be just to run on the flat and see how it goes.
The other plan is to try and do some strenghthening and stability work, see how it goes. |
