Cycling (Loxley Loop) 1:30:00 [3] 40.0 km (2:15 / km)

An estimate of time and distance, possibly less on both counts, I'm waiting for Baker to log it so I can tell (don't have a functioning watch at the moment).

Out Loxley with Baker, Al and MikeS. Predictably Al was too strong for all of us and rubbed it in by turning off for a longer ride when we started to head for home (probably relieved that he wouldn't have to keep on waiting for us!)

Nice cake and rubbish coffee at Rivelin Park cafe afterwards. Great Pancake and nice coffee at home just after that.

Running warm up/down (BEOC) 15:00 [3] 2.5 km (6:00 / km)
shoes: inov8 x-talon 215

All warm-up there was no warm down... unless you count the last 10 controls...

Orienteering race (BEOC) 2:36:00 [3] **** 16.1 km (9:41 / km)
shoes: inov8 x-talon 215

Pretty woeful really but I was never up for a 'race' today. Had a nice long run and got in some orienteering so it wasn't all bad.

Running warm up/down (FCC Middle) 40:00 [3] 7.0 km (5:43 / km)

Run to the start and then run back from the finish to the car. Probably not the best way to attract spectators having a remote start and finish 3.5km away from the assembly field...

Orienteering race (FCC Middle Distance) 33:07 [4] **** 4.6 km (7:12 / km) +180m 6:01 / km

Started off okay but then was scrappy on a couple of controls. Got back into it and then messed up badly on the leg to the small depression near a vegetation boundary junction. Didn't see any vegetation boundaries at all, panicked and lost a minute or so, then saw Kel and stopped to give her some help. Finished off well and pleasantly surpised to be only a few minutes off the pace, if I actually manage to orienteer okay next weekend I could do all right!
