Saturday Oct 17 #

Note

The Hibernator, Burke VT
10 AM

road bike 5:10:25 [3] 46.61 mi (9.0 mph) +4289ft
shoes: SuperX SE

The Hibernator was changed to Sunday at the last minute because of bad weather on Saturday (seriously?). I couldn't do it Sunday so Nick and I did our own version despite waking up to an unexpected 4" of snow. We had ourselves a pretty sweet soggy, slushy adventure with everything from a 1km bikewhack on private property (maps wouldn't load) to smooth roads with zooming tailwinds. Lots of puddled and flowing water on class VI roads.

Wednesday Oct 14 #

6 AM

road bike 1:12:29 [3] 21.41 mi (17.7 mph) +418ft
shoes: Boone

Pleasant enough commute on wet roads on a nice cool morning
4 PM

road bike 1:18:41 [3] 23.09 mi (17.6 mph) +672ft
shoes: Boone

Slow at work so cut out a few minutes early and added a few miles to my ride home. Perfect riding weather.

That's 3k miles for the year. Not sure if I've hit that # before. The weekly commute is a big contributor.

Adv Race 7:42:50 [3] 31.18 mi (4.0 mph) +2784ft
shoes: Salomon Sense Ride 2

With Reed. Trek prologue -> lake paddle -> roads bike -> trek-> roads bike
The best race weather I've ever had (sunny, crisp, breezy 50s).
Awesome trek: lots of off trail and some great views. Great to see so many new racers and women out there. Pam and Eliza enjoyed the 3-hour version, their first AR!
Major thanks to Cliff and Kate.
