MTB 1:14:23 [3] 10.26 mi (8.3 mph) +925ft
shoes: Superfly FS

Trail and road around town in the stupid warmth and humidity. 9# pack.

1. Unwittingly ended up on a new skinny woods trail that led to a nearby farm - cool!

2. Found a dead raccoon in the middle of a trail that I had ridden down less than an hour earlier. A quick inspection revealed that it had been dead for a little while (hours to days) in that spot. Not sure how I could have missed it in the middle of singletrack. Tossed it off the trail and sanitized using the saliva and tree-wipe method.

Young bucks home from college making me look bad. Isn't there somewhere cooler than the Y for them to go?

MTB (Bikerafting) 3:54:27 [3] 23.53 mi (6.0 mph) +992ft
shoes: Superfly FS

Trying out bikerafting with Rob. Mix of road, trail and very lazy rivers. 2 paddle sections (4 TAs). Rafting went well overall. Rob had to retrieve his phone from the river bottom during a climb-over of a log obstruction. Otherwise smooth sailing. Averaging 2.3 ish mph in the boats. Pretty fun little adventure for suburban Massachusetts/NH and starting from home.
