Trekking (Rogaine) 11:57:00 [3] 52.5 km (4.4 kph) +1200m
slept:6.0

Rogaine around Wellington Dam with Wendy. Took turns at lead, about 4 small time losses due to missing control on first attempt. Missed 2 of these on second approach. (NOTE: Using gully or high point on roads narrowed the search area each time and we then found the controls immediately on the worst two). Got all we went for, a first for me! Dropped 4 or 5 from original plan. One bad choice of bushbash in creek bed, memories of NZ and CP9. Super happy with result, glad not to be chicked by J & L.

Rest day preceding rogaine weekend. Busy packing too.

MTB (Flat roads and paths) 2:34:00 [3] 56.0 km (21.8 kph)
slept:8.5

Met at Wendy's for flat ride around Canning and adjacent Swan rivers. Convinced W to avoid Kings Park, my legs still feeling Sunday and / or Tuesday, and we are pairing up for the 12 hr rogain on Sat that we would like to be around the top 7 or so. Why 7, just my lucky number, first would be ok too. Will see if we possibly have top ten legs yet? Aim is to not get chicked!

Kayaking (K3 with Tim & Janet) 45:00 [4] 9.0 km (12.0 kph)

Tim driving, good race with Bronwyn and Sam on our wash for the most part. Some good turns by Tim. Didn't see our exact time, but felt real food in many sections, Janet is getting more torso rotation, I think stronger than Tim, and definitely stronger paddler than Mark.

Trekking (Flat with pack) 1:55:00 [3] 11.9 km (6.2 kph)
rhr:54 slept:7.5 weight:78lbs

Only 8 kg pack. Around river then the weekly massage, ahh.

MTB (Fire trails) 4:12:00 [3] 91.8 km (21.9 kph) +500m
slept:8.5 weight:79lbs

Still feeling legs from Sunday, ok on flat, but they wouldn't allow long efforts on climbs. Maybe top 15 legs only. Stopped for coffee coming back thru Chidlow, gotta train like you were in a Lexi race. Last hr left knee a bit sore, same as Sunday, will use anti inflams on weekend rogain.

More floor. Ate lots.

MTB 6:05:00 [3] 107.9 km (17.7 kph)
slept:7.5 weight:79lbs

Long ride, mixture of road, trail, hills and carried bikes up lookout hill. Easiest with bike on shoulders. Legs handled the climb better than mid paddle season, but bikes are lighter than a kayak. Lots of hills on O'brien road, to rear of JF Nat Park then return via Heritage Loop after a few more of Janet's favourite hills. Legs feeling almost "top 10".
