Orienteering race 32:21 [5] 4.93 km (6:34 / km) +50m 6:15 / km

JIRCs Relay-team 1st!
Went off in 4th less than 30 seconds down on the other three teams and so set off to chase them down.
Think I passed them all by control 2/3 but not really sure because never saw anyone after halfway to number 2.
Just made sure nav was clean because I was going so slowly I was worried that if I made a mistake they would all appear. Number 7 was the only issue, I came too low down the hill and started searching too soon. It was really rough runnability around here too so was kind of tripping over everything and not making good progress. Realised that I was probably too far down the hill and eventually found the right reentrant-luckily none had come into sight.
Crashed so badly by the end and even path running was an absolute task. So glad it didn't come down to a sprint finish as I'm not sure I'd have been able to make it.
Good finish to my final JIRCS :)

Running warm up/down 5:00 [1] 0.8 km (6:15 / km)
shoes: Inov-8 Orocs

Should have gone for longer but shoes were rubbing and shattered too.

JIRCs Individual-1st!
Determined to actually do well at a JIRCs for once so I was actually pretty nervous before I started.
Looking at map in start boxes thought we would be staying in the technical bit but turns out planner had other plans.
Had looked at a leg almost exactly the same to number 1 earlier in the week so knew what I was going to do straight away. Unfortunately screwed it up in the closing stages of the leg, following wrong reentrant/on a non-existent ride then drifted off down hill. Luckily realised relatively quickly where I was and got back on track. 3-4mins lost.
So angry with myself after this (thought I had lost a lot more time than I actually had) that I just kind of kept running fastish-terrain was such tough going but rage was getting me through it fine! Nav clean from then on just slightly confused when I got to number 2 expecting it to be on the boulder when it was actually on the hill. Caught up a massive train 3-4 which gave me even more motivation to run.
So tired once I'd finished and annoyed at my idiocy going to 1 but turns out it was enough to win!
Cough reappeared once I'd finished and couldn't stop for ages-hopefully it's nothing too bad just a passing cold or something.
