late morning swim during my 3hr break from uni. tried to throw in a few freestyle laps but only managed about 5. i suck at freestyle for more than 25m at a time. if i do it slow, i sink or fast and i get out of breath.

sauna afterwards was awesome but too many naked old dudes....

normally i dont count riding around lund but this was longer than usual. rode from delphi into town to meet a mate then out to the driving range (25mins into a wicked headwind) then home again. its times like this that i miss sascha....

magnificent sunshine today but still only 0 degrees. managed to score the whole day off uni so went for a run about lunchtime (after a long sleep in). around the back of kämnars, through norra fäladen, duckpond, sankt hans, then home via ICA. short breather at top of st hans as my lungs/heart were about to explode. hr was red-lined and suffered on the last 1km from st hans to delphi.

shoes are good but still need some softening/feet hardening

mid afternoon run after i got out of class early. delphi, st hans, cemetery, alhelgonakyrkan, uni bibliotek, LTH then home.

amazing weather at the moment. sunny, 8 degrees and low humidity. everyone is so much happyer and wearing colours other than black, charcoal, navy blue and dark grey. felt awesome to be out and actually enjoyed the run. had a craving for a quality trail run but need much more fitness first.

fantastic view from the top of st hans - could see everything from copenhagen and malmo right up to helsingor and helsingborg at the other end of the oresund. could even see individual blades of wind turbines in copenhagen. twas cool.

uni is going to be a bitch this term.... doing 24 credits (normal full time workload is 15/term). that means minimum of 30 contact hours per week, most of which is lectures so there is also ridiculous amounts of study/assignments on top of that. and to make it worse i can only afford 10 beers per week :(

no training today.....

also it has been sunny for 2 days in a row!!!! and warm(ish). its awesome

brief session in my 3 hr break from uni. 10 rowing, few weights then lost interest/got hungry so called it quits. will see how i feel for a run this arvo but not making any promises.

got home 6am, woke up at 1pm dazed and confused with a sizable headache....alas no training apart from riding around town late in the afternoon to do some shopping

warm (7 deg) and almost sunny so had to get out for a run. delphi, ostra torn, got lost for a bit, onto tornavagen, VG's, m-huset, e-hust, v-huset, ikdc then back to delphi.

felt reasonable running especially since it is my longest run since october. absolutely no speed or power in legs but thats to be expected. shoes are shit. wicked arch blisters after 4km. hobbled home. think i might have to write them off as running shoes. - good to see google has finally updated their pictures of lund....the last ones were through a cloud. i dont know when they took these pictures though because it hasnt been that sunny without snow in a long time.

have a 5 hour exam from 8am to 1pm thursday worth 100% of grade for course then a 20%, 3 hour exam from 2pm to 5pm.....gunna be a super duper fun day.....

10' rowing weights for about 45' then 10' on the bike to get some heat into my legs then a decent stretch. have lost about 5cm on the hammies... gunna try and get some life back into my legs now i can see the end of winter approaching slowly...

i just found out that the both the spring cup and 10mila are about 50km from lund. maybe i could "run" the classic day at spring cup and drink beer and spectate 10mila....that would be kinda cool....

arvo gym session. 10' rowing then the rest weights. felt good rowing but lost interest quickly once into the weights. ipod was out of batteries and they were playing terrible music.

post dinner session. been meaning to do this fo the last few days but it hasnt happened. felt good to finally get off my arse and just do it.

it feels like there is some hope that winter might finally be winding down. i has made numerous blue sky sightings in the last few days and it hasnt been into the negatives in a week or so. but they do say winter lasts until at least april in lund and summer never really arrives....
