NOL10 @ creswick diggings
pretty sweet run. started off carefully (good plan in hindsight) then wound it up on the long leg to 4. caught leon just before 4. saw olly coming into five then saw tristan and bryan coming from the other direction. route choice to 7 split the pack. ran with leon and tristan for the rest. really struggling to breathe up the hill out of 14 where we passed the girls pack. managed to hang on and got a second wind coming out of 16 so managed to almost get the ground back on leon and tristan. few things to improve for the trials but overall really happy with the run.

reasonable run brought down by a few big blowouts. no proper control flow and made the route choice up on the go. didnt read the fine detail near 4 and got caught on the wrong side of the fence. apart from a few other small ones it was ok i spose. ~2 mins down on the lead pack.

NOL9 @ petticoat gully
massively technichal goldmining. bad from the start and got worse. stuffed 1, 2 and 3 pretty badly. ok till 8 where i followed rob. bad route choice to 9. picked up the speed a bit through to 13 but the cold started to get me at that stage. tristan dropped me on the final loop - for a little fella he sure can run fast!! one for the hall of shame but i still beat olly so it wasnt a total write off ;)

travelled to melbourne. met up with mum then took the long route to the backpackers. olly made me get drunk while waiting for the others to arrive. feeling better today but still alot of crap in the throat/nose/lungs.

got sick of being sick and figured i needed a run. felt like shit. struggled round the servo (4'55"), anzac pk(12'25"), hillsdon rd loop with a few walks along stanley tce. felt weak and unco. absolutely shattered after the climb up to anzac pk.

i gotta be due for some better luck soon after the last few big events...

turns out this cold or whatever ive been fighting off for the last week or so has finally gotten on top of me. but only enough to make me feel like crap and make training a bad idea. been trying to sleep it off since sunday. bad thing is that it makes it hard to drink so ive prob only drunk <600mL of water since sunday :(
