Mtn Biking (Niner Air) 2:15:00 [3] 20.3 mi (9.0 mph)

Yes, that is right...mountain biking! On trails! Through the woods! And did not hit a tree. Wooo! My back didn't exactly ignore the beating given by the gazillion Arkansan rocks beneath my tires, but it didn't complain too loudly either. I was practically gleeful to be riding, which probably helped me feel amazing. So one more check off the list before Nationals. Running and kayaking are left. Running is the one that being out of shape for at Nats will cause the most suffering...

Road Biking (Trek Madone) 1:19:45 [4] 23.5 mi (17.7 mph) +376ft
ahr:146 max:167

Ride to work (!). First time in forever. Beautiful sunrise and morning.

Road Biking (Trek Madone) 1:30:17 [5] 23.06 mi (15.3 mph) +899ft
ahr:155 max:178

Ride from work, but met Susann at the BDB and followed her to her house for our last SPC meeting (yay!). Had to bring the laptop home so that made the pack heavier and Overlook that much more painful. Windy, too, my whole ride to the BDB was into a near headwind.

Road Biking (Trek Madone) 48:15 [3] 13.48 mi (16.8 mph) +184ft

Quick spin on the NLR side of the RT from Burns before meeting work folks out.

Hiking (Walking) 45:13 [3] 2.41 mi (18:46 / mi) +213ft 17:19 / mi

Neighborhood walk. Back was hurting, right at the Transverse Processes location. Not sure if I aggravated something or if it was just normal nerve craziness during healing, but kept it short just in case of the former.

Road Biking (Trek Madone) 53:02 [4] 17.04 mi (19.3 mph) +472ft

Joined up with the Faction Tuesday night ride on an invite from Charlie. Was just a touch late, of course, and ended up trying to catch up. Pushed and caught the B group, who then sped up and I was maxed. When they pulled over to regroup I kept going since I needed to be done early enough to make a cyclocross meeting at 7. Ended up catching Charlie on Pinnacle, he had been dropped from the A group after winning the first sprint. I worked hard to stay with him, and ended up riding past some folks on the climb on the way back. Slowed down for the last couple miles, but still had a much higher power output than normal. My legs hurt!

Road Biking (Trek Madone) 3:26:09 [4] 57.52 mi (16.7 mph) +2051ft

My first road ride in over a month! Decided to meet a small group at Two Rivers to do the Garrison Loop, and rode from home. The ride was fun and mostly laid back in pace, so I was even able to do a couple pulls. Felt pretty strong, surprisingly, so I kept going after we split up at Two Rivers and was going to do a full River Trail loop until I hit the closed road for the Broadway Bridge demo (pretty cool to see, though!). Turned around there and got progressively more tired on the way home. River Mtn Road was especially difficult. But, made it and definitely my longest ride in a while. :)
4 PM

Hiking (Ouachita/Pinnacle) 2:06:36 [3] 5.6 mi (22:36 / mi) +1142ft 18:57 / mi

OT and then Pinnacle, up and back on West Summit, then fully around the Base Trail.
