Nats! All my concern and worry culminated here. I was so nervous before the race I was nauseous. The paddle freaked me out, I had no idea what to expect from my back. The ten hour drive on Thursday hurt, so that didn't give me confidence. But, all in all, my back did great. A little discomfort here and there, but no major pain and I didn't even take any painkillers. Amazing what the body is capable of!

As for the race itself, we didn't race super fast or cleanly, but had a solid race overall. Ended up with 7th co-ed, 9th overall. We lost a place on the very last bike section, with CP 36, which was a bit of a bummer, but kudos to Rib Mountain on their successful race and season. :)

Now to rest! I mean, do BT Epic this Saturday, then rest! Or maybe do the next AMBCS race on the 30th, then move to downtown Little Rock, then rest! Got it. :)

Run to the stop sign and back to see how this running thing would go. No pain, woo hoo! Slow and labored, though...taking six weeks off of running has definitely impacted my cardio fitness.

Short easy and slow paddle to check out my back for kayaking. Bad news, my back wasn't happy at all.
