Road Biking (River Trail) 51:13 [2] 13.76 mi (16.1 mph) +249ft
ahr:118 max:157

Quick spin on the RT, tried to keep it low effort. Legs felt great for a second, then tired for a bit, then back to good. I am finally starting to feel like I can put in power when I want to, amazing. Didn't have much time for this ride but wanting to keep things shorter and faster now in general. I should be good on the endurance front!

Mtn Biking (Cedar Glades) 2:04:11 [4] 17.02 mi (8.2 mph) +1761ft
ahr:152 max:177

Had the day off in addition to yesterday, so wanted to ride somewhere out of town. With so many good options it was an agonizing decision but I ended up heading to Hot Springs to ride Cedar Glades, which I rarely ride outside of the races there. It was a great choice for me. It took a while for my legs to warm up again but I felt much better than yesterday and actually had some pace. The trails are technical enough that I regained some of my lost handling skills and confidence. Did two laps and was super happy with my ride.

Mtn Biking (Castlewood) 1:34:26 [3] 13.9 mi (8.8 mph) +764ft
ahr:138 max:181

Wanted to ride on my way home. Checked with a few folks but timing ended up making a solo ride the best option, so decided to hit up Castlewood, where I have never ridden except in the adventure race there. Labor Day made it a busy place! Didn't know where I was going other than some vague memories from the races, but it was fine. Went along the river bottoms, rode the Cedar Bluff loop, out a bit more and then back for the Grot-something or other loop. Fun trails, but tons of erosion, worse than most of our trails here. My legs felt pretty tired until about the hour mark, and then I felt good. Enjoyed my pit stop. :)

Note
(rest day)

Had to drive up to IL for a family get together, so complete rest day with lots of car time. Worth it though!
