Strength & Flexibilty 20:00 [1]
Work was dead - 10'C day what can expect - so i got my stretching in while lifeguarding at the top of the slide :)

Sunday Apr 27

Orienteering race (ACT Long Champs) 1:33:21 [4] *** 13.33 km (7:00 / km)
max:180 shoes: Inov8 Roclite 285
Decided to run as knee pulled up well after yesterday. Bloody cold morning up in the mountains!

Started off scrappy, losing time when too high on the second and fourth. Frogga caught me here and i held onto him for only 2 controls. Started feeling a bit better after being pretty dead before the long 9th leg.

Soldiered on through the remaining of the course. Surprised to see i got 3rd ahead of hoggster and blair

Saturday Apr 26

Orienteering race (ACT Middle Champs) 46:23 [3] *** 5.9 km (7:52 / km)
ahr:175 max:184 shoes: Inov8 Roclite 285
Decided to run even though have the knee playing up. Turned out to be pretty good too.

Run was average, very slow through the forest and small mistakes aplenty.

Inov8s were bloody good!
Running warm up/down 10:00 [2]

(injured)
Yep have patellar tendonitis of left knee. Lots of stretching, ice and some anti inflamms this week then exercises next week. Physio recommends not running this weekend, think ill do the middle though.
Cathy not back from Maternity leave yet so just went to physio at work for convenience sake. Seemed ok but might see Cathy when she's back. this sat - then every sat.

Sunday Apr 20

Note
(injured) (rest day)
Planned a rest day and also top the left shin is hurting, thinking it could be the tendon as it couldnt be a stress fracture! Gotta book a physio appt but im sure its tight quads and everything else

Saturday Apr 19

Running long 1:24:59 [3] 16.32 km (5:12 / km) +621m 4:22 / km
ahr:159 max:181 shoes: Nike Structure Triax 10
Two hour break between double shifts at work so thought id get for a run. Originally thought of hill ints but after 10min knew that wasnt gonna happen and although i felt pretty crap i just kept running and felt by then end.

Over Gossan Hill then loop around, up Aranda Hill via the concrete path then across to and up Mt Painter, back up Aranda from the Southside then down the GDE behind Calvary and back over Gossan.

Friday Apr 18

Mtn Biking 1:11:31 [3] 15.75 km (4:32 / km) +457m 3:58 / km
ahr:151 max:218 shoes: Specialized Mtn Sport
Good quick bash around Tuggers Pines before it got too dark.

On the side of a hill so its pretty much up the hill and back down. Pretty good network of tracks though, even if it is a bit run down/disused. Some small rock sections keep it interesting too

Think HR on Garmin was playing up :)

Thursday Apr 17

Running 1:01:53 [3] 12.48 km (4:58 / km)
ahr:151 max:174 shoes: Nike Structure Triax 10
Was planning on going to o ints this morning but going to bed it was 50/50 and at 5.40 it was no. Sleep in was good, i woke at 10.30 :)

Stressful night at work so it was good to get out with Year Zero in the ears and have a good relaxing run. Felt quite good during it, not struggling or firing too much at any stage.

One funny incident was when i was going past erindale shops i could see a car slow down behind and follow me for 10-15 secs, thinking i may be about to get mugged or something i turned around and it was the cops. I guess they dont see people going for runs at 10.45 at night too often! Gave them a quick wave and they drove on.

It was such a nice day there was no way i was gonna not do it. Was a fair bit annoying and feet slipped around a bit but it was ok.

ahr:168 max:194 shoes: Nike Structure Triax 10
Around LAke G from work. Was gonna do ints and thought id see how i go doing a couple of 1k's. The first was good, bit undulating and couldnt keep a rhytm but was just bout on speed i wanted (3.45) but then the second i cracked after 400m or so. Im terrible with ints, can never push myself to keep going. Then tried to recover something from the session with a few 1min efforts
14.00 warm up
3.42 1km
2.47 500m recovery
1.18 400m
3.11 recovery/regather thoughts!

Tuesday Apr 8

Running 42:00 [3] 8.2 km (5:07 / km)
ahr:166 max:178 shoes: Nike Structure Triax 10
Fairly easy one around the Bruce Ridge single tracks between classes at uni.

Nice temp for running at the moment, i dont want it to get any colder.

Decided on a good NOL weekend in Sydney -
Midday Sat Middle @ either Mitchell Park or Girakool,
Night Sprint @ Mac Uni
Sunday Classic at new NSW Champs area between Picton and Mittagong. (Terry Bluett claims the areas to be great, the Meyer boys are a little skeptical :) )

Sunday Apr 6

Running 1:10:00 [3] 11 km (6:22 / km)
shoes: Nike Structure Triax 10
Nice morning run with Glenn from his place.

So good to be back on Sydney and the great Fairyland loop! running through lane cove is infinitely better then anywhere in canberra.

Felt ok for most as we didnt really push the pace but a bit tired up the last hill.

Followed by a nice day at the zoo where we bumped into Tracy and Stix with kids in tow!

Friday Apr 4

Mtn Biking 59:30 [3] 13.6 km (4:22 / km)
ahr:142 max:173 shoes: Specialized Mtn Sport
B'day cruise round Tuggers Pines on the bike. New tyres meant little rocks being flung into my face for the first 10mins!

Bit slow with little confidence but got better as it went on.

Went to see new Will Ferrell movie, Semi Pro and the bloody filmed burned halfway through so no we didnt get to see the end. Blood Annoying!!!!
