Course Setter: Pat Meehan
High 30s, cloudy, windy w/ 20+mph gusts.

Decided to treat myself to some orienteering for my birthday. Since I was sick and inactive all week, the knee soreness has also gradually gone away. Coupled with a rare flat course on the brand new Joyce Park map, it means I was able to jog around almost the whole time! Overall, it felt like a long sprint with lots of open fields and good visibility. If I was actually healthy enough to sprint around, I could probably finish the course 10-11min faster, which would in turn make the navigation a little tougher. At jogging pace, I didn't have much trouble finding the controls. Only one mistake at #15 where I stayed in the white woods too long and overshot the control to the NW. Also had trouble reading the fence openings on the map when I was looking for ways to cut thru the baseball fields.
