Note

Training in Tsing Yi set by Aby. There were a series of O-intervals, map memory, as well as contours only exercises. I just wasn't moving fast enough for them to be real intervals. It was muggy with intermitten rain. The steepness and green once again zapped my energy. A face full of spider webs was also annoying. But the training was useful.

Note

Sprint training on Peng Chau. Focused on quick map reading and route choice decisions. Rained on and off as typhoon signal #3 was in effect.

Did another 5km test as an unofficial runner with the HK team. 18:49. Felt a little better than last week due to the less muggy air.
Followed the 5k with a run up Jat's Incline with the guys. Slow going as we chatted most of the way there. Gorgeous clear view of the nightscape tonight!

30C, 90%+, cloudy, occasional light rain - 10 big laps at Morse. ~56min. Legs felt heavy and slow. Drenched in sweat at the end.

Played basketball at the Arch with some old school friends. About an hour's worth of exercise. Sweated a ton.

HKOC Preseason Ranking Event at YuenTun.
T1 warning was in effect, so weather was muggy - 32C, sunny, extremely humid, and no wind. It felt like I was actually running inside a steam room! Did course A in just under 50min and made two rather bad mistakes. Got stuck in the green a couple times. Still trying to get used to orienteering here.

Participated in the squad's 5km test as an unofficial runner. 18:57. Not bad considering my current shape. ~30C, clear, humid, and no wind whatsoever.
