Ultimate 10:00 [3]
(injured)

Played the first 5 points of our first ultimate game... Turned to cut over the left shoulder and the L knee gave up on me... Hobbled to the sideline to sub :(

Made a brief return for half a point after stretching and warming up some more but no avail I was done. Kept score for the second game - tried not to get too cold.

I'll call physio tomorrow le sigh

Orienteering race (Desert Run) 1:45:06 intensity: (3 @1) + (2:04 @2) + (23:05 @3) + (1:03:03 @4) + (16:51 @5) *** 9.08 km (11:35 / km) +300m 9:56 / km

Bishop's Land, Quincy, WA
Medium Course

I feel quite proud of myself despite my less than ideal finish time. I had a major bobble on 7 (14+min error) and lots of wobbles / hesitations throughout. Took a few of the downhills slower because I was rather adverse to turning an ankle in the rocky footing. However, I had a REALLY enjoyable time running this course, I was really in love with orienteering and the landscape. As well, I feel like I handled the challenges with greater ability than I would have a year ago.

I am looking forward to running on this map again!

PS took a 2:15 mins to stop my watch when I finished 1:42:51 is my race time.

Crab Creek, Beverly, WA
Medium Course

Started out wobbly but improved throughout the course navigationally, though the last control and finding the finish were a bit tricky/silly and I was slow from lack of running / training. This was a fun course and on very runable / open (sandy) terrain.

Was quite happy with my attackpoint for 5 & 6 and my route from 7-8

Orienteering (WET) 27:20 [2] 3.27 km (8:22 / km) +5m 8:18 / km

Forgot my headlamp so I did the Intermediate course and forgot to start my watch until the first control. Spend a fair bit of time running to lamps memorizing and then trying to find the pin flag :P

Lovely evening and the gardens smelt wonderful - quite springtime feeling.
