Spent my Birthday in Gruene, TX!

Gruene was a very cute historic district with an amazing river (wish it was summer) and a comfortable and inviting old dance hall that has seen an impressive number of incredible artists! It was a treat to have a beer and listen to the live music with the sun shining and kids dancing :D

Swimming 20:00 [1]

I was in the pool for longer but only really swam "seriously" for 20 minutes mainly due to the fact that I dwelled on my ennui regarding z personal life induced by my birthday. Career and education, as always, are trucking along just dandily according to the ever evolving "plan" :P

Note

Walked to the San Fernando Cathedral to see this artist's light & music portrayal of the history of San Antonio (and Texas) projected on to the front facade of the cathedral. It was quite interesting and I enjoyed hearing the Mexican/German fusion music that sounds like if you added the polka beat to typical Mexican music - the name of it escapes me but I will add it when I recall :D

Walk / Hike 3:00:00 [0]

Walking all over San Antonio! Saw all of the riverwalk and the Alamo haha

The Alamo has to be one of the more confusing histories of a loss to portray. The team you're rooting for changes ~ 4 times and things could have been VERY different if only Mexico had been willing to go with a less centralized governance system - would be a fun alternative history :D
