Wasn't feeling very well today a little sneezy and dopey so I decided to stay home from ulty as there were enough girls going and tuck into some homework and get an early night :/

1 - okay, too far left

2 - meh, not what I was expecting to see

3 - good

4 - good

5 - long but good, came up the hill near the X "iron bed-frame" then diagonally down to 6

7 - haha the vague contours in the cloud, forced all my goals into action, ended up at 12 first which was a simple correction through a banana line aroundish the OOB to 7.

8 - went quite well though I said to myself "Mama would be proud" which resulted in "I got a little baby bumble bee won't my mamma be so proud of me..." getting stuck in my head until 13

9 - okay, a little hesitant

10 - good

11 - good, but not what I was expecting

12 - plan was similar to 7 which was: stay on bearing and figure life out when I hit cliff :P I ended up close just one cliff set over

13 - good, further than I anticipated

14 - good, though I was a little left

15 - good, quite happy with my route to 15 it all felt easy

16 - decent, couldn't decide to run on top or below...

17 - good

18 - haha, up and down, rock climbing and reentrant until I spied the control. I wasn't even using my map I was just gophering tehe I rather enjoyed it though and seemed to be a decent decision :D

19 - okay, got drawn out too far to the right but saw the body of water "the yellow open area" then corrected back left towards the cliff hit the wall of cliffs a bit south-west of the crossing point so trudged along a bit before going down. Then skipped across the stream and up!

20 - okay, I went around to the right when I should have gone left...

F - This time I knew to navigate to the finish but gah I could have used a control description! I was just running on a bearing and whipping my head around lol

I REALLY REALLY enjoyed this race! Top Notch :D

1 - good

2- I think the gps will show me running over this control (yep it does) I made it to 10 (checked it so I'd know for sure) and then went back and got it le sigh (4.17 error)

3 - very hesitant and not what I expected to see I was too hight

4 - If only I'd just continued around the cliff face but no I was scarred from 2 and worried I'd overrun it (3.56 error)

5 - good, spotted it from a long way off

6 - okay, I was a bit too far left (.26 error)

7 - good

8 - went right, good

9 - good (beat BigWillyStyle on this leg :)

10 - good

11 - pleased with my route but too hesitant as I approached the control circle. Went right around the water crossing south-east of 3

12 - should have stuck to the same philosophy as 11 but instead decided to cross much closer to 12 and that lead to knee-deep icy water and some thorns in my R arm and knee

13 - too far right had to hook around

14 - hesitant about finding the crossing and again in the control circle

15 - way too far left ended up on the ridge above the cliff and spotted 19 from the viewpoint that helped me triangulate for 15 (2.07 error)

16 - hesitant and used the power tower to double check myself

17 - good

18 - good, spotted it right outta 17

19 - really good, spotted it as soon as I got up the contours

F - fricken terrible! my brain had turned off at 19, I had sorta expected flagging not a tricky route and a hard to spot final control... (1.07 error)

Overall I had a really enjoyable it challenging at times run. I made different mistakes from last time (I think) and look forward to the challenge of tomorrow :D Really love this area!

Via Sport Sportscape Conference

It was on anti-bullying day and so the (evil) BC Premier co-oped it for a press conference event thing. I managed to avoid most all photos (I hope) but it was super awkward as a teacher... then the Q&A about the Budget that was tabled yesterday on which I have MANY opinions...

I have to say I now have MUCH greater sympathy for the people in the background of these things because 90% of the time it's sorta against their will / the situation just appears...

Note

Drove straight from the conference to a GVOC Exec Meeting
