Lots and lots of work again but lucky lucky me got to go and watch the National Figure Skating Gala post-National Competition! So wonderful to see our Olympic hopefuls skate with such glee and prowess the stress of competition lifted for a moment. Go Tessa, Scott, and Patrick!! As well as the others whom I don't know their careers as well haha

Always nice when a group of your orienteering friends spontaneously decides to show at the same park you go to, with their headlamps, and a map in hand. One of you jokes that they recall their three-year-old leaving some reflective tape in the woods days prior and you all chuckle and joke that you're orienteering on the dark side... funny when that just happens...
Had a glorious time doing what I did which was orienteering, grinning, racing down a trail, gazing out at the water and city from a rocky outcrop into the ocean, orienteering, laughing, some hill repeats, quiet moment loving the oddly warm night air, lazy run down a trail, orienteering, making a new friend, walking up the hill, and then off to a delicious dinner made all the sweeter by finding a gift card from 2016. I never paused my watch so it captured everything even just standing still in the woods with my eyes closed smiling!
Hi 2018 :D
P.S. Did I mention that the map was really outta date, the contours were 5m on a 1:5000 map as well as being hand drawn, plus the cliffs were only drawn on if you could die falling off them...
