Running 5:55:38 [2] 31.0 mi (11:28 / mi) +927ft 11:09 / mi

Took today off from work to run while the weather was nice, and to have a nice, long Labor Day weekend. Feet felt pretty good, legs didn't complain outside of what you would expect. I drank a combination of Accelerade, Skratch, water and Gatorade; and ran with Gu, Accel Gel, and Chomps. I stopped at my car a couple times to refill bottles and ate a few pretzels, some cantelope, and gummy bears. Everything settled well in my stomach, for the most part. I'm learning that on the long runs I really like have a variety of things to eat.

I ran in the Altras, which seemed to keep my arches happy and also caused me NO blisters!!!!! :) :) :) I think this might be a first for a long run this summer, so I think I will plan to use these shoes for the race, and bring my Asics as backup.

Overall this was a pretty good run, but I can't see how this will scale once you add another 20 miles and a few thousand more feet of elevation change. It makes me nervous.

Running 1:02:31 [4] 7.0 mi (8:56 / mi) +52ft 8:52 / mi

Feet felt good, legs felt good. Still deciding how I feel about the Altras. I love the bigger toes box but the downside is I think they make my foot shift forward in the shoe so I'm worried about my toes. It feels fine for an hour, but what about 10? Maybe some different lacing will help.

Cycling 48:28 [3] 14.0 mi (3:28 / mi) +576ft 3:20 / mi

Rode to the park, around the park and back home. Almost hit a turkey. Quads were tired but overall the ride felt pretty good.
