TNW race, in the first wave. Did OK - surprised myself with my placing (or the number of people behind me). I seem to do better when the conditions are not ideal - I can muscle through the crap. When the conditions are good my form isn't good enough and everyone glides away from me... I think

Race was 18:26 and about 3.6 miles... Rest was warm down (a full loop and a partial loop)

Mystic. 30 minutes warm up, 5 times 5 mins on, 2 minutes off, then warm down. I don't know why I can't get my heart rate up when paddling - I am working hard, just won't rise. I guess it is partly that I am using smaller muscle groups. Need to make those smaller muscle groups bigger, I guess!

Forgot my watch (had the Heart Rate Strap!) so timed the warmup with my phone, and asked a friend for the warm down time

TNW at Weston, with the snow guns running. Fast where the snow guns weren't blowing, slow where they were. 4 laps, and one armed Alex was still quicker than me.... but I did win the second heat.
