Started off steady and feeling good so made the decision to go for my A goal of sub 2:40. Felt awesome and was pushing well over the ridge and hit the drove road in 1:26 (5 mins up on last year) Feeling ok for the next couple of hills but starting to feel a bit harder than I would like. Twinges of cramp came from harbour hill then it was a bit of a battle for survival from there. 1 min quicker than last year in the end but a bit disappointed in it as I think I can do better. Lost about 5 or 6 minutes in the last 4 miles compared to last year. Not really been doing many long runs lately. The speed is there but the endurance isn't.

Easy jog. Hamstrings a bit tight from circuits yesterday but felt great running. Slight detour after I almost ran into the middle of some big military training exercise going on. Managed to not get shot.

Some triangles on Bruntsfield links. Uphill side hard followed by harder downhill side then jog recovery on the third. 3Xsmall, 2Xmedium, 1Xbig, 1Xbigger, 1Xbig. Was meant to work the rest of the way back down with some more medium and small triangles but left it there. Hamstrings feeling worse now and nothing in the legs after a while. Easy before the skyline now.
