Still not feeling great but wanted to do something. Planned more but the wind and rain was really terrible and didn't see any point in grinding out anymore

Note
(rest day)

Feeling a wee bit rundown today. Not too bad. Little bit of a motivation collapse today. Back at it tomorrow.

Note

Was going to go to the Carnethy session tonight but started feeling a little rubbish in the afternoon. Had a nap after dinner instead. Might do a session tomorrow or Saturday after work depending on how I'm feeling.

Hill Running 44:19 [2] 5.38 mi (8:14 / mi) +246m 7:13 / mi
shoes: Inov 8 Roclite 290

Had planned more but hamstrings still hurt and by my standards the mileage of the last couple of weeks has been very high (2nd highest mileage week ever last week and 3rd highest the week before and hitting over 3k of ascent both weeks) so decided to be sensible. Feeling pretty good. Almost ran through a film set for a Standard Life advert at Bonaly and decked it on the descent. Bit of a bruise on my hip and hamstring almost cramped up but feeling ok

Trail Running 27:11 [2] 3.79 mi (7:10 / mi) +59m 6:51 / mi
shoes: Asics GT 2000 #3

It's only a short run. I can do it without going for a jobby before... How wrong I was. Legs a little bit fecked after circuits
8 PM

Road Running warm up/down 11:35 [2] 1.61 mi (7:12 / mi) +40m 6:41 / mi
shoes: Asics Gel DS Trainer #2

Road Running tempo 29:01 [4] 5.01 mi (5:47 / mi) +64m 5:34 / mi
shoes: Asics Gel DS Trainer #2

Was going to do this straight after uni but hadn't had enough to eat so was hungry and tired. Legs not feeling great and I knew mentally I would struggle with an out and back or laps so went for a longer loop. Net downhill so pace is faster than it ought to be but still running alright. Was going to go further and do enough uphill to justify the down but 5 miles felt like plenty tonight.

Road Running warm up/down 16:37 [2] 2.11 mi (7:52 / mi) +74m 7:06 / mi

Hill Running 42:51 [2] 5.12 mi (8:22 / mi) +247m 7:17 / mi
shoes: Inov 8 Roclite 290

Was working a little harder than I probably should have been for some of the climb and got a little bit of chest tightness with the cold air so eased off for the rest
5 PM

Road Running 21:00 [2] 5.0 km (4:12 / km) +100m 3:49 / km
shoes: Asics GT 2000 #3

Warm up for circuits on the treadmill. Started easy and got a bit faster after halfway then eased off again

S+C 1:10:00 [0]

Feeling a lot tougher again after 5 weeks off
