Both feet have felt quite sore walking around since yesterday's run. I think I probably shouldn't have rushed into doing such a long run in new shoes before I broke them in a little more.

Not feeling too bad today. Cut things shorter than planned since the weather turned a bit nasty and I was under dressed

Given I'm meant to be doing a half marathon in just over a month I figured I should actually remind my legs what running on road for a reasonable length of time feels like. Probably my longest road run in close to 5 years and I can't remember the last time I did over an hour outside of a session which is a bit more stop start.

Wee jog from the car too meet Juan and Olivier at Juan's then did a nice loop out towards the seat and down the innocent cycle path to portobello and back up Leith walk. Trying to keep a decent pace for most of it and doing some faster portions at about 6 min/mile pace. Bit of looping back so I didn't lose the guys. Stopped the faster stuff at 10/11 miles as Juan and Olivier were struggling and decided to keep it easier the rest of the way back. Always felt pretty comfortable and relaxed though.

Hopefully a useful sort of session. Might try and do one or two more before the half. Route was a bit too busy with people and traffic for my liking though.

Easy run after uni. Alysha was meant to be joining but was unwell so out by myself. Couldn't seem to get my shoes adjusted right today and stopped a few times to fiddle with the lacing. Either feeling too tight and hurting my feet or too loose

With Juan. 3X10mins. 2 min recovery after the first and 2:30 after the second. Bit of a killer headwind on half of the research park loop made things tough going. One of those nights to just get through it rather than feeling great and died a little on the last one.
