Hill Running 56:10 [2] 6.53 mi (8:36 / mi) +331m 7:26 / mi
shoes: Inov 8 Roclite 290 #2

Out in the mist after work. Almost no visibility higher up so taking it slow. Best I've felt all week. Only a little calf tightness and not feeling as tired and run down as some runs. Had thought about having a day off running so I could study after work but decided to have a day off studying instead :)

Hill Running 41:18 [2] 4.87 mi (8:29 / mi) +231m 7:23 / mi

Not as much stretching yesterday and feeling it again in the calfs. Will be a bit more on it for a few more days. Aim is to get back on the consistency next week. Need to try and figure out what I actually want to do first to get a bit of motivation. I think I might try harder to actually be a hill runner since I've had my fill of road stuff.

Hill Running 45:06 [2] 5.04 mi (8:57 / mi) +346m 7:23 / mi

Easy over Allermuir in the sunshine. Bumped into Des Crowe on top so stopped to chat to him for a little. Left calf a bit tight to start but loosened off. Both tightening up near the end. An improvement on yesterday after some stretching and rolling last night

Trail Running 23:24 [2] 2.98 mi (7:51 / mi) +70m 7:19 / mi
shoes: Asics Gel Cumulus

Easy golf course lap. Feeling very uncoordinated and like I've forgotten how to run. A fair amount of calf/achilles tightness on both legs as well and this just generally felt like quite an effort. Will take things pretty slowly as I build back. I think I might stay away from roads as much as I can for a while too

Wednesday Apr 3 #

(rest day)

Things feeling much more normal today. Eating a lot more and generally feeling a lot better. Can tell things still aren't 100% though and no point rushing back into things so quite happy to take things easy a little longer. Probably would have given in and run if it was actually a nice day out.

Tuesday Apr 2 #

(sick) (rest day)

Much the same as yesterday. Able to eat a bit more which was nice and overall doing a bit better. Found out that at least 5 of us who were away this weekend were ill which isn't very good

Monday Apr 1 #

(sick) (rest day)

Feeling really rubbish today. Terrible nights sleep going between feeling far too hot and far too cold. Threw up basically as soon as I got up in the morning and spent the whole day in front of the tv not really eating anything.

We’ll see how it goes but will probably end up having at least another couple of days off. Will hopefully feel good enough to start revising for exams tomorrow.
