Nice and chill up corstorphine with Sean, Niall and Connor.

A very nice and consistent 4 weeks building the mileage up a bit. Moving back down south next week so may take a little hit the next couple of weeks while I sort stuff out and settle back in down south but hopeful I’ll be able to keep this consistency going.

Out to caerketton then skyline up to carnethy, down to the Howe then skyline route again until harbour hill where I dropped off home.

Spent the first hour with legs feeling tired but moving well enough, second hour feeling a bit worse for wear and moving a bit slowly and the last 40 minutes feeling surprisingly good riding a bit of a second wind home

Another week copying the Pollard sesh from Tuesday but with actual recoveries. 4x8mins (2mins).

Really good group tonight with Hamish, Niall, Swinton and Hamish's canadian ski pal Gabe. Altogether on the first one, then in no mans land on the second when Hamish pushed on and the others dropped back then sat in with Hamish for the last 2. Good session and going a bit faster with the group this week.

Really easy back. Niall keeping me company most of the way and keeping things at a chatty pace

Easy over Allermuir. Climb was a bit of a slog but feeling reasonable enough in the second half. 6 strides at the end

Work turned a bit manic at the end of the day and wound up finishing over an hour later than normal. Not overly up for this before going out but changed plans to run with Sophie which made it a bit nicer.

Over braids down to hers then a loop up the seat and crags and back to hers. Don't feel I've been climbing well for the last week or so and felt particularly bad today.

10x400m off 3 min easy jog. Pleased with this tonight. Hitting 70/71 for just about all of them. Standard feels for this session where it feels hard relatively early around rep 4 but then doesn't get significantly worse.

The beginnings of some mud on the pitches as well but don't think it made any difference. New spikes feeling good.

Felt I would benefit from something flatter where I could keep things properly easy so went for a chill jog round Mortonhall and Swanston with 6 hill sprints near the end.

Feeling better as this went on.
