Thought about doing the session I meant to do on friday but decided my legs were a bit too sore from a mile of climbing yesterday. In the end felt quite good cruising round some muddy trails at braids and mortonhall

Really nice long run in the pentlands with some super cool cloud inversions over Edinburgh. After feeling bad yesterday I decided to keep this chill and was just really enjoying being out. No food and a bit of water and felt great the whole way. Nice to bump into lots of people I know out running too

Note
(rest day)

Unplanned rest day. More bad sleep and feeling shattered all day with a bit of a headache. 53 day streak isn’t bad though

Easy headtorch run. Had meant to do more like 10 miles but felt pretty dead from about 30 mins in. Have been sleeping poorly most nights recently and didn't eat or drink enough through the day today

Easy run before breakfast. Such a nice morning! Feeling properly like winter with it being so cool and crisp. Legs better than expected too and was moving surprisingly quickly until my stomach started feeling a little dodgy in the last couple of miles.

Have really enjoyed running while I've been down South and the quality group sessions on the track and Turn Moss. However, I'm making the move back up to Edinburgh again to escape lockdown 2. This means this is me now probably home for Christmas. Hopefully I can keep the routine going as I'm feeling really happy with my running at the moment

Road Running 46:53 [5] 6.81 mi (6:53 / mi)
shoes: Asics Gel DS trainer #3

Last session down the track before lockdown 2.0.

1 mile tempo, 6x(600(60),400(90)), 5x200

Mile tempo nice and cruisy in 5:28

Reps:
1:50, 1:11
1:53, 1:11
1:51, 1:12
1:51, 1:11
1:51, 1:11
1:51, 1:11

Reps feeling ok aerobically but just didn't seem to be able to get the legs going any quicker. Drifting a little off the back of the group on the 400s but holding my own a bit better on the 600s.

We just cruised the 200s and kept them like extended strides. Hitting them in 35/36

I've been meaning for ages to start doing some doubles and realistically if I want to do much more than the 70 odd miles I've been getting up to doubles are the most practical way to do it so finally dragged myself out of bed early enough for a pre work morning run

Trail Running 1:00:15 [2] 8.09 mi (7:27 / mi) +37m 7:21 / mi

Easy couple of laps of chorlton water park and back along the Mersey. Didn’t realise I was working a wee bit hard into the wind along the river until I turned off of it
