Long run with Fraser out and back on the canal to Worsley then some more on my own afterwards to get up to 30k. Energy levels fine throughout but legs felt a little bit mashed in the last 10k or so

Doing a virtual 5k race for Chorlton. Small group of us went down to Sale to use Dave's Brookwood loop. 2.5k loop on quiet residential streets. Paired up and ran with Dave aiming for sub 16.

Overall felt pretty good. Got myself into more of a race mindset than I have for other virtual things meaning I was able to push better. Got a gap on Dave pretty early and Ben and James started 10s after us so spent the whole thing running solo. The wind got a bit tough towards the end of each lap meaning kms 3 and 5 were a bit slower.

GPS obviously a bit questionable but it felt like a good shift. Pretty confident I'm capable of something similar or a bit faster in an actual race

Easy with hill sprints. Used a steeper hill this time but don't think it worked quite as well. Although that was maybe because I was in road shoes and felt like I was lacking a bit of grip even though it was frozen

Easy Mersey. Nice and frozen so no mud to deal with. Feeling pretty good given how wrecked I felt immediately after yesterday's session. Lots of food and a big sleep must have done the trick

Solo threshold session on the cemetery loop. 5x8mins(2mins).

Feeling ok tonight and just ticking them off really. Good to get another big block of effort done at this pace. Biggest session since I last did this one in December and it pushed my achilles over the edge a bit. Some fairly instant DOMS hit once I finished but feeling fine apart from that.

Paces: 5:32, 5:28, 5:28, 5:30, 5:29
