This was a beautiful and fun race, but probably the most challenging race I've ever done. I did feel pretty good the whole time though -- and was able to pass a bunch of people at the end, so that is good progress. Mile 10 (16 minute mile) I (and about 20 other people) were stuck on a single-track behind some very slow runners.

20/20 Marathon paced "half and half" workout. Did it on the treadmill. 20:00 at marathon hill combo (10:20 / 4%) and then another 20:00 at flat marathon pace of about 8:50. Cool down of about 15 minutes. The hill part was definitely harder, but do-able.
