Bicycling (Boston Harbor ride) 1:52:39 [3] 32.2 mi (3:30 / mi)
ahr:131 max:173

Bike: Chris W rode with me today. We left from his house on Carpenter Rd and out to Boston Harbor and returned. We road several moderate hills. The total distance covered was 32.2 miles according to my bike computer; however, I believe the computer is off by about 2-3 miles (29.2-31.2 miles). We rode at an average pace of 17.1 mph.

Comments: I felt terrible today. Typically Chris has to ride my wheel, but today I was on his most of the time. The hills were torcher to me. I need to spin more and get a lot more rest.

Running long (GAAF run) 41:10 [3] 5.08 mi (8:06 / mi)

Run: I conducted a run from McVeigh gym to GAAF and around it back to McVeigh. Upon completing this run I ran 6x grass accelerations. I accidently deleted my times and had to rely on my Timex data recorder for information, which is not logged in laps.

I ran approx. 5.084 miles around GAAF @ 41:10 min. I waited until my hr was below 120 bpm before conducting the sprints.

Comments: The run felt OK, improved, but I would have not felt so tired. I have not been recording my sleep but I would have to say I have been averaging approx 5.5-6.5 hours per night.

Swimming intervals (Soldiers Field House pool) 34:15 [3] 0.8 km (42:49 / km)

Swiming: I did not keep track of this session well. I do not recall the strokes or specific distances. I am trying to input what I believe is accurate; however, the swims were mixes of free style and breast strokes. I do not recall the amount of time between intervals.

The following is the times:
1x 100m: 1) 3.58.94
2x 200m: 1) 6.51.52, 2) 5.08.05
1x 100m: 1) 3.47.05
1x 50m: 1) 1.39.55
1x 200m: 1) 7.11.23
1x 100m: 1) 3.27.98
1x 50m: 1) 2.00.02

Comments: I did a terrible job on this swim, of that I do recall.

Running long (Miller Hill run) 1:05:47 [3] 7.46 mi (8:49 / mi)
ahr:157

Run: I ran from Miller hill to Old Madigan back to Miller hill. The distance was 7.461 miles in 1:05.47. Upon completing this run I conducted hill repeats. I waited until my hr was below 120 beats before conducting the hill repeats.

Comments: I felt like my legs were weighted down. Although I believe my overall time for this run has improved I feel I should be further along.

Running hills (Miller Hill sprints) 11:54 [5] 0.25 km (47:36 / km) +250m 7:56 / km
ahr:157

Hills: I ran Miller Hill following my long run. I ran a different route this times as instructed by Lois. I conducted sprints up Miller Hill approx. 250m for 6x hill repeats. At the top of the hill I would job back down and allow my hr to drop below 120 bpm before conducting the next repeat.

The following are the times: 1) 2.40.64, 2) 2.02.30, 3) 2.05.80, 4) 2.16.43, 5) 2.19.00, and 6) 1.56.13.

Comments: I was instructed by Lois that I needed to find hill(s) which would accomodate hill repeats of 3-5 minutes. FYI for Lois this hill was kicking my butt.

Bicycling (Tenino ride) 1:44:45 [3] 31.0 mi (3:23 / mi)

Bike: Chris W came over to my house and we rode from there down Old Hwy 99 to Waldrick road to the Western Chehalis trail to Tenino and back to my house on Old Hwy 99. There were some moderate hills along the route.

I did not have my hr monitor on for this ride.

Comments: This was a big mistake. I felt terrible when conducting this ride. I wish I had not deviated from the training schedule as I was exhausted from the long run and sprints earlier in the day.
