12 PM

Running (TRAIL) 9:27 [2] 1.84 km (5:08 / km) +94m 4:05 / km
shoes: Inov8 x-talons 230

Absolutely pacing it to make the start cut off

Orienteering (FOREST) race 54:52 [5] ** 9.63 km (5:42 / km) +473m 4:34 / km
shoes: Inov8 x-talons 230

Wavering Down - Brown

Some pretty big names turned up so I had to race it. Was a good idea in the end as it made the relatively easy course quite hard in places. Felt like had good fitness on the hills and generally good nav just need to refine my skills in the circle.

Will share the beautiful map once it's on rg

Running (TRAIL) 11:36 [2] 2.25 km (5:10 / km) +13m 5:01 / km

Rolling/Stretching 20:00 [1]

10 AM

Running (ROAD) 27:11 [2] 5.75 km (4:44 / km) +56m 4:30 / km
shoes: Brooks Mazama

Recovery round the country lanes. Ended up running into the back of a car coz some guy was driving the wrong way down a one way street.
5 PM

Running (TRAIL) 38:55 [3] 9.03 km (4:19 / km) +77m 4:08 / km

WU - Session - WD

5×3mins @ 75%, the last rep was just a 1km raz (3:17 split) which is hard for a overgrown cattle field in the rain. Making an effort to keep off roads for most of my intervals in the lead up for the summer season. Hopefully I can slowly tread down the grass enough for faster reps :)

5 PM

Running (TRAIL) 1:04:35 [4] 11.16 km (5:47 / km) +530m 4:41 / km
shoes: Brooks Mazama

A meaty hill sesh, 10 reps instead of my usual 7. Legs felt fresh so just kept going back for more also was just happy to be back do this session.

6 PM

Running (TRAIL) 55:24 [3] 12.35 km (4:29 / km) +154m 4:13 / km
slept:9.3 shoes: Brooks Mazama

Got a big old sleep then finished my exams so there was nothing stopping me from getting out for a run. A five pack of Sainsbury's doughnuts was fueling me so couldn't hold back the pace but it did feel really comfortable.

Also stopped wearing my HRM it was making running less fun

7 PM

Running (TRAIL) 35:21 intensity: (22 @1) + (18:51 @2) + (16:08 @3) 7.38 km (4:48 / km) +155m 4:20 / km
ahr:131 max:158 shoes: Brooks Mazama

A part of my died on this run as I hit the biggest bonk of my life. About 6k in: last week's efforts; 3 nights of less than 5 hours sleep; a 3 hour politics exam today; eating to much and general low motivation killed me.

Will have a rest day tomorrow. Also finishing my mocks so should feel better for the rest of the week and can get my training back up

Quantock North East is an absolute beauty of an area. Ultra fast under foot so can literately straight line everything except when there are phat hills combined with quite a few fun features on the slopes to practice bearings and contouring. All round a nice change from the Estonia maps.
