Jukola. Bit of a mixed bag. I started quite badly, getting excited racing people and forgot some basic orienteering so lost ~3mins in the first half. I did however manage to get my act together and run really aggressively and technically good in the second half so that was very pleasing. Even more pleasing is that it seems my speed was better than those around me I just need to sharpen the tekkers, usually it is the other way round...!

Jukola prep #1. Some easy tekkers nearer to where we are staying. Really very tough terrain, stony and deep. Luckily the other boys who trained nearer jukola have reported some much nicer conditions, looking forward to that this afternoon.

Jukola prep #2. 5 intz nearer the actual arena. There was a lot of elephant tracks out there and the terrain was pretty delicious. I did mostly good nav, but sometimes I got caught lacking, especially in the circle when there was lots of details. Compass was pretty on point though! Legs feeling spicey again.

BSK Oints. 3 reps of 1km, 2km and 3km. I cruised round at the back and just made the 2min time cut on both the restarts (just to get immediately dropped again). Legs felt good and strong, technique pretty decent, still some dodgy routes but that'll come.
