Alpine Skiing 6:00:00 [3]

At Crystal with my family and Lance (and Phil and Jené in the afternoon). We hiked out to Silver Basin in the morning and my mom hit a dip in the flat part with too much speed, so when she came up the other side, she bashed her knee into her chin and split open her chin. 4 stitches. The doctor asked if I wanted to do a stitch (and he was completely serious!) but I said no. I ended up helping him by cutting the stitches after he sewed them and getting excess blood of my mother's face. It was interesting to see stitches so close up.

Soccer 1:30:00 [2]

Cold cold soccer practice. Not super duper exciting, just working on some formation stuff... playing out of the back and being creative in the attack.

Alpine Skiing 2:30:00 [3]

Snoqualmie with Sean and Siri after the instructing clinic. We found a jump through the trees! I didn't land it the first time, and the second time, the tree took off my ski mid-air, but it was a soft enough landing that it didn't matter. Fun day!

Soccer 2:00:00 [3]

First game, rainy and cold, only 10 people, and we lost 0-1. But we played well, even with only 4 of our returning players, so it's not a bad start to the season.

Running 59:02 [3] 5.74 mi (10:17 / mi)
shoes: Asics GT-1000 4

Slowly running Mama Bear with Siri. I was sore from the day before because we did some fitness at soccer (sprints and core), and Siri was sore from the run the day before.

Wednesday Dec 9, 2015 #

Running 35:00 [3] 4.5 mi (7:47 / mi)
shoes: Asics GT-1000 4

Intersection-Skyfire-Irish with the twins and Carlyn for the first half before Siri and I fell back. We saw several crews working to fix the power lines.

7 PM

Soccer 1:30:00 [3]

First soccer game this Saturday! We're expecting to have 10-11 people. Slightly better than last year, I suppose.

9 AM

Running 7:28 [3] 0.83 mi (9:00 / mi)
shoes: Innov-8 Mudclaw 265

Short warm up.

10 AM

Orienteering race 39:56 [3] 3.65 mi (10:56 / mi)
12c shoes: Innov-8 Mudclaw 265

St. Edward State Park, a trails-only course. Not super exciting route choice options, but I managed to make several stupid mistakes.

11 AM

Orienteering 23:31 [3] 1.61 mi (14:36 / mi)
8c shoes: Innov-8 Mudclaw 265

A starting exercise designed by Mike. 4 different maps with 3 controls each. We set up a realistic start situation for each map and I executed the first 2 controls (3rd one was mostly to make the map more clear, and to give me something to plan for on my way to 2).

8 PM

Climbing 1:30:00 [3]

Bouldering at Seattle Bouldering Project. It was a really cool place, with two stories of artificial bouldering walls. Very tough but definitely fun.

Friday Dec 4, 2015 #

Running 47:34 [3] 5.79 mi (8:13 / mi)
shoes: Asics GT-1000 4

Drug Park with team.
