Body is feeling the plyo from yesterday! This wasn't as long as I originally planned for since my stomach was complaining through most of it.

Got in a nearly 2 hour long walk while talking with my aunt, and I ambled past a couple places that my roommate and I are eyeing for next year.

Zephyr live-streamed class with my roommate! Good way to wake up in the morning and start my day with some movement.

Stretching (Yoga) 30:00 [0]

Followed by a live-streamed quick yoga session. Pretty cool that different places are adapting and doing this when no one can gather in the actual studios.

Peet’s Hill. It was incredibly muddy, wet, and snowy out, and it will continue to be for the next few weeks before the snow melts completely. Ran into Aly, Laina, Katherine, and Rachel? on my way down, and slowed down to chat with them until I turned off to head home.

Incredibly disappointed that all of the downhill areas are closed now, but grateful to be able to still get some snow time. Did a relaxed ski with my parents on the Iron Horse, with some skiing by myself, some looping back to them, and some skiing with them. Somehow my dad is able to ski 3 weeks post-broken neck, and he wasn’t all that slow either. Falling would be disastrous, but he was careful.
I’m much less sore after sprint camp than I expected! That’s a good thing, I think. I’m honestly surprised at how well I did this past weekend with how little speed training I’ve been doing. And I was surprised at the relative success of my xc ski 25k race. I guess strength from fire and quick speed/agility from ultimate has been enough to maintain fitness at least. Regardless, it’s time to bring more regular running speed work into my life.

6" of new up at Bridger today, after a week of warm spring temps! Very unexpected but welcome. No one wanted to go up with me, but I enjoyed the pow by myself. Hiked the ridge twice: Football field, then Morning Glory bowl into Job 3. My legs were pretty shot from yesterday, otherwise I would have stayed for longer since the conditions were so great!

West Yellowstone Rendezvous 25k skate.
The first 5k were tough, and I was working but still getting passed pretty consistently. At the 5k mark, I more or less hit a wall and realized that this was going to be a longggg race. From 5k-10k, I got passed by more people than I could count, 25k and 50k racers alike, and I felt slow and exhausted. But around 14-15k, the field had spread out, people stopped cruising past me, and I caught a second wind! From there to the finish I felt much better physically and actually enjoyed the race. I'm a bit stumped on how that happened with my severe lack of Nordic skiing, but it turned around the entire day and I ended up having a much better time than I expected!
I know the Birkie is twice as far and I'd have to put in much more effort towards it, but the thought of doing it next year has crossed my mind a couple times...
