Soccer 2:00:00 [3]

Our last home soccer game, but we won, so it's not our last game ever! We played our biggest Crossfire rivals, and won 4-2. Played some forward and some center mid, and scored one of our goals. We've moved onto semifinals in the state cup, so we'll have at least one more game next weekend.

I ran the first leg of the 4x800m. My calves were really tight from yesterday's soccer game, so I didn't run as well as I would have hoped, and it didn't feel great either. Two of our girls ran really well, and the third had raced earlier that day, so overall we were ~25 seconds behind our seed time. Oh well, relays are fun regardless.

Easy day because of the races yesterday and tomorrow, so I just ran DQ.

We lost this game, and we weren't playing great. After the first half, we kind of gave up, which didn't translate into performing well. It was a tough game physically since the other team was pretty aggressive and we only had 1 sub, so people had to play almost the entire time.

This was a really good 1600m for me! I broke 5:30, which was my goal for this season, and there's still a few weeks left in the season, so having a sub-5:30 race now is encouraging for the future. :)

I decided to run the 400m for fun. It was fun for the first 300m. However, I did have my PR (by a couple tenths of a second), and it was nice to try something new for a change.

Hard fast workout: 3 sets of 3x400m, with 75 seconds rest and 400m rest between sets.

Splits: 84, 85, 85. 84, 83, 83. 82, 82, 80.

Although it was really fast (by far the fastest workout I've run this year), it felt really good and I wasn't dying while doing it.
